LOVE the Journey

I recently have come to realize the true meaning of this saying. I really can’t remember the last time I would have actually said that and meant it. I wish I could say I am the kind of girl who flies by the seat of her pants but I LOVE to have everything planned out. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go according to plan! Many people want everything in life to be smooth sailing, but then are unable to cope when things get rough. Embrace those moments when it feels like you keep climbing hurdle after hurdle. Just think how much character is built when the time comes and you finally cross the finish line!

This year I am embarking on a personal journey that I am both nervous and excited about. I have always believed things happen for a reason, good or bad, and trying to figure out the ‘why’ behind everything usually is the main culprit that causes the dreaded stress and confusion. Usually, the questions to those answers do not appear out of thin air or even in a timely manner, BUT the answers do come. The question of, “What do I want to do in life?” has been nails on a chalkboard to my ears ever since I was in high school. I can finally say, with full confidence, I have found my calling! Becoming a certified Health Coach checks all the boxes on my list to finding a career I am passionate about.

I have been blessed with plunging into a new endeavor in life this year and I plan on taking full advantage of it! Now, I am not going to say it is going to be an easy road ahead, but I am going to love the journey no matter what! You can’t have only the good in life, as well as, you can’t have only the bad. Living in the gray is where the magic happens! Personally, my mind tends to travel to the ‘bad’ but I make changes to that kind of thinking every day! The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins has been the driving force behind that. I have prioritized ‘just me’ time every morning and I am loving it! I have also started baking again, exercising, journaling, and putting myself in social situations where I would have in the past hid under a blanket. The confidence that comes from accomplishing tasks you never thought you could is mind blowing! It really puts you in the mindset of, “What’s next?! or Come on life, try harder!” Once you realize you have the power over what knocks you down or what lifts you up, there’s absolutely no stopping you!

Loving the journey this year is what 2018 is all about! Bring it on life, cause I’m ready for ya!

I love your enthusiasm!!! We’ve been trying to follow your healthy ideas. Going to try another roasted cauliflower recipe tomorrow and then roasted green beans and carrots later in the weekend.
